• Ad Hoc Committee related to ICB

At the November 6 MCCPTA Board of Directors Meeting, the below ad-hoc committee was approved. The co-chairs will be George Fountain, PTSA president at John F. Kennedy High School, Dawn Trahern, MCCPTA Middle School Chair and Cluster Coordinator for Magruder and Sharon Agranov, PTA President at Brooke Grove Elementary School. The co-chairs will set up meetings and how member communications will take place.

The committee work will extend till the end of April 2009. By March 2009 (if not before) the committee will have gathered background information and made recommendations to MCCPTA for future action such as any resolution.

Any proposed draft resolution would be presented by the March 2009 Delegates Assembly. Delegates would be able to take this back to their local PTAs for feedback prior to the April 2009 vote. Recommendations could also be made in an earlier time frame by the committee if they so choose.

Kristin Trible and Kate Savage have expressed an interest in serving on this committee as members. Other members may be added. Let me know if you are interested in serving on this committee.
